Divisional commander of the 1st rebel division in the Vyoshensky uprising, full Knight of St. George. It is considered one of the prototypes of Grigory Melekhov in M. A. Sholokhov’s novel “Quiet Don”.

In January 1923, he was discharged from the army on indefinite leave “as a former white man.” 02/23/1923 arrested by the GPU. Accused of organizing the Vyoshensky uprising in 1919 under Article 58 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. 07/19/1924 released on bail. On May 15, 1925, the visiting session of the North Caucasus Court in the city of Millerovo terminated the case. Arrested again on January 20, 1927. Sentenced on 06/06/1927 by the judicial board of the OGPU under Art. 58-11 and 58-18 of the Criminal Code for execution. 06/17/1927 shot. Rehabilitated on August 18, 1989 by a decision of the Presidium of the Rostov Regional Court.
