Efremov Ivan Vasilievich

Genus. in 1894 in the village of Nemolva, Luga district, Petrograd province. At the age of 15 he left to work in St. Petersburg. In 1914 he was drafted into the Tsarist Army. Participated in the First World War. He joined the party in 1916. In 1918, he volunteered for the Red Army and was later sent to courses for agitators and organizers in Petrograd. At the end of 1919 he was sent to the Dagestan region, where he worked together with S.M. Kirov. In 1923 he was transferred to Pskov as an assistant to the provincial military commissar. In 1925 he was appointed commissar of the 137th Infantry Regiment. Since 1930, he was transferred to the city of Krechevitsy, Novgorod Region, as commissar of the 55th squadron of the aviation brigade. Mastered the specialty of an observer pilot. In 1933, on the initiative of S.M. Kirov. transferred to Leningrad to the position of Air Force inspector of the Leningrad Military District. In 1934-1936. Instructor of the Leningrad Military District political department. In 1937, the deputy head of the PURKR was in charge of the district's management personnel department. He had the rank of brigade commissar. Arrested on December 5, 1937 in Leningrad. Sentenced to 10 years in prison without the right to correspondence. Died 12/05/1942. Rehabilitated posthumously in 1957
