Kalnina Maya Konstantinovna
Born in 1932 in Leningrad . After her father was arrested in 1937, due to psychological trauma, she lived with her aunt's family for several years. She was not accepted into the Komsomol as "the daughter of an enemy of the people." During the siege of Leningrad with her mother and sister. Due to exhaustion and scurvy, she was taken to hospital, then to a children's hospital. She graduated from a seven-year school in 1950, then took evening accounting courses. She worked in her specialty for several months, then studied at an evening school and simultaneously attended cartographic courses. Through a competition, she was hired by the Forestry Design Institute. Her further work was connected with expeditions. She was recognized as a victim of political repression by the Prosecutor's Office of St. Petersburg on 21.04.1995, and rehabilitated by the Prosecutor's Office of St. Petersburg on 06.12.2001.
