Soviet prisoner of war. He escaped from the penal camp "Concordia". One of the members of the militant anti-fascist group "Red Jersey" in the city of Halberstadt. He was engaged in the production of cold and firearms for the group. Captured while trying to free his comrades and prisons in Halberstadt. On the night of April 2, 1945, he escaped from the auxiliary prison of the Gestapo "Romensee" and ended up in the territory occupied by the Americans. June 6, 1945 repatriated to the Soviet side.
