In 1920 he was elevated to the rank of archbishop. Since 1922 - Archbishop of Volyn and Zhytomyr. In 1922-1937. constantly being arrested and exiled. Arrested 06/23/1937. Sentenced to VMN under Art. 58-6, 58-10. Shot on 11/27/1937. Rehabilitated on 02/07/1953.
