Kertes Leonid Yulievich
Born in 1897 in Szatmarkemeti, Hungary; Hungarian, son of the director of the Hungarian National Bank. In 1915 - an officer in the Austro-Hungarian Army. Member of the Central Committee of the Hungarian Communist Party, during the existence of the Hungarian Soviet Republic - chairman of the 1st District Council of Budapest, commissar of the IV Red Army of the Soviet Republic. After the fall of the republic, he was arrested, on the initiative of Lenin, released from prison in an exchange, arrived in the USSR in 1922. Worked in party-economic and teaching work. Before his arrest - head of the local industry department, lived in Novosibirsk. Arrested on 28.02.1936. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 21.06.1939 under Art. 17-58-6, part 1, Art. 58-7, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 15 years of imprisonment with subsequent disqualification for 5 years. Exiled by the MGB of the USSR on 6.11.1949 to a settlement in the Far North. The case was closed by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR due to lack of corpus delicti on 28.05.1955. He died in 1962 in Moscow.
