Born on 08/08/1907 in the village of Kedrovaya Pad, Posyetsky, Posyetsky district of the South Ussuri Territory, Primorsky Region, Amur General Government; Korean; higher education. From 1923 he lived in Vladivostok, graduated from the workers' faculty at the Far Eastern University (1927), from 1927 - in Leningrad, graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1932). In 1932–1935, he was a graduate student at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Hydraulic Engineering, and at the same time worked as a hydraulic engineer at the Nizhne-Volgoproekt. Arrested 10/05/1935; accused of creating a counter-revolutionary group in the Primorsky Territory in 1924–1925, connections with anti-party groups in Korea and Manchuria; sentenced by the Supreme Court of the USSR Armed Forces on May 30, 1936 to 4 years in prison without loss of rights and confiscation of property; served his sentence in Norillag - worked as a hydraulic engineer and senior foreman; released 03/01/1939, amnestied in April of the same year. He worked in Norilsk as a civilian. Rehabilitated by the Military Commissariat of the USSR Armed Forces on September 22, 1956. In 1939–1959 – head of the permafrost station and head of the survey department of the design office of the Norilsk plant; in 1959–1970 – director of the Norilsk research department of the Krasnoyarsk Industrial Construction Project of the USSR State Construction Committee. In 1966 he was awarded the Lenin Prize for his participation in the creation of the theory of pile foundation. Died 04.09. 1970 in Krasnoyarsk.In Norilsk, in memory of him, a memorial plaque was installed on one of the houses built on stilts.
