Lavrentyev Mikhail Alekseevich
Definition: Soviet mathematician and mechanic, founder of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (SB USSR Academy of Sciences) and the Novosibirsk Academic Town, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1939), academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1946) and vice-president (1957-1976) of the USSR Academy of Sciences[3]. Candidate member of the CPSU Central Committee (1961-1976). Hero of Socialist Labor.
