Makedonov Adrian Vladimirovich

Born 22.04.1909 in Smolensk; Russian; no name; higher education - graduated from Smolensk University in 1930. Writer, literary critic, delegate to the first All-Union Congress of Writers in 1934. Worked in the Union of Soviet Writers of the Western Region, Smolensk. Arrested on 21.08.1937 in Smolensk. Sentenced on 09.02.1938 by the Special Conference of the NKVD of the USSR under Art. 58-10, 58-11 to 8 years in a labor camp. Imprisoned in Vorkuta until 28.03.1946. In 1952 he graduated from the Geography Department of Saratov University. Worked as the head of the lithological laboratory of the Vorkutugol combine. Rehabilitated by the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on 20.04.1955. In 1956, membership in the SSP USSR was restored. In 1965, he defended his doctoral dissertation, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences. Author of more than 200 works on literature and 200 works on geology. Died on 15.10.1994 in St. Petersburg.
