Definition: Soviet biochemist, doctor of medical sciences, professor, academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, first vice-president of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1972-1974). Hero of Socialist Labor (1964). Winner of the Stalin Prize, third degree (1949).
