In July enlisted in the coastal fleet, served in the Main Hydrographic Directorate as a junior clerk. In 1913, graduated from the hydrographic department of the Nikolaev Maritime Academy; seconded to the Nikolaev Main Astronomical Observatory in Pulkovo for practical training; in 1915 - senior lieutenant. From January 1916 . - full-time teacher of the Naval Corps; in 1917 - inspector of classes at the Naval School; head of the cartographic department of the Main Hydrographic Directorate. In 1918 - head of the Main Hydrographic Directorate of the Fleet; in 1920-1922 - head of the hydrographic department; developer of the project for the country's transition to the belt time In 1922 - head of the Scientific and Technical Department of the Main Hydrographic Directorate; from 1924 - head of the cartographic department of the Main Directorate and senior leader of the cycle of subjects at the Maritime Academy.
01/20/1931 was arrested with his wife in a group case, sent to Moscow and imprisoned in Butyrka prison. He was accused of being “a member of a criminal and sabotage organization whose ultimate goal was to weaken the combat capability of the RKKF and overthrow the Soviet Power,” i.e. in pr. pr. art. 58-6, 58-7, 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (as amended in 1926). By a resolution of the OGPU Collegium dated June 15, 1931, he was sentenced to death, with the VMN being replaced by imprisonment in a concentration camp for a period of 10 years. “By order of the deputy chairman of Comrade Belitsky” (as in the case) dated December 29, 1931, he was released from custody. He worked as the head of the 1st sector of the Hydrographic Administration. Lived at the address: Leningrad, emb. Moika River, 15, apt. 18. Re-arrested on July 16, 1938. He was accused of “being an active participant in the c/r group and carrying out sabotage to reduce the combat effectiveness of the USSR fleets,” i.e. pr. pr. st. 58-7, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (as amended in 1926). Died in the Regional Hospital for Investigative Prisoners in Leningrad on 08/08/1938. By a resolution of the head of the Department of State Security of the NKVD of the Leningrad Region dated August 10, 1938, the investigation was terminated due to the death of the accused. Rehabilitated in the 1931 case by a decision of the USSR Higher Military Command dated 04/10/1958, in the 1938 case rehabilitated by a resolution of the Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Leningrad Military District dated 01/22/1959.
In 1932 - released for lack of proof of guilt; returned to Leningrad, worked as head of the 1st sector of the Hydraulic Administration; later - 3rd rank flag engineer.
