Genus. 04/11/1901 in the village. Kanava, Nizhny Novgorod province, in a working-class family. In 1917-1919 sailor on the Volga, then until 1923 in the Red Army. In 1923-1927 fireman and sailor on the Volga. Since 1927, a shooter of the plant's paramilitary security, a laborer, and a storekeeper. He graduated from the workers' faculty - LMSI (Leningrad Mechanical Engineering Institute) in 1930. Since 1931, he has been a student at LEMI. In 1933, he was expelled from the institute due to his difficult financial situation. In 1941 he graduated from the Leningrad Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of English and French. From 01/01/1943 in the Red Army, being wounded, he was captured. After being released from captivity, he served in the American Army. Returned to the USSR on January 25, 1951. Before his arrest, a repatriate held in testing and filtration camp No. 312 in Grodno. Arrested 06/19/1951. Accused of anti-Soviet agitation, slandering Soviet activities and praising life in France. Sentenced by the Grodno Regional Court on October 31, 1951 under Art. 72 "a" of the Criminal Code of the BSSR (a/s agitation) to 10 years in prison and 5 years of loss of rights.
