Genus. in 1863 in the village. Vertunovki, Serdovsky district of the former Saratov province; Russian; Higher education, graduated from the Theological Academy. Professor of the Kazan Theological Academy. Lived in Kazan, st. Dostoevsky, 52, apt. 1. Arrested on October 3, 1930, on charges of creating the Kazan counter-revolutionary organization of churchmen and active participation in the anti-Soviet indoctrination of youth. He took an active part in transforming the organization into a branch of the All-Union Center of the Church-Monarchical Organization “True Orthodox Church”. By resolution of the OS at the OGPU Collegium dated January 5, 1932, he was expelled to Kazakhstan for 3 years. Rehabilitated on January 16, 1989.
