At the time of his arrest he was not working; he previously worked at the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Lived in Moscow. Arrested on November 18, 1983. Sentenced by the Moscow City Court on May 21, 1984 under Article 70 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years in prison. He served his term in the Perm camps - (BC-389/35). By Decree of the PVS of the RSFSR dated July 7, 1986. pardoned Released on July 22, 1986. Returned to Moscow and was under supervision for the unserved term.
