In August 1987, he was one of the organizers of the first conference of informal clubs and groups “Public Initiatives in Perestroika.” He joined the Federation of Socialist Public Clubs (FSOC), organized by Andrei Isaev and Boris Kagarlitsky, but did not further participate in the activities of the FSOC.
In 1988-89 - member of the Democratic Perestroika club.
In May-July 1988 - member of the Organizing Committee of the Moscow Popular Front (MPF).
In the Organizing Committee of the MNF, he was a member of the “Minority”, which united non-socialist clubs and groups (KSI, Perestroika-88, “Civic Dignity”, IG “Memorial”) and socialist-anarcho-syndicalists (the “Community” club).
He left the organizing committee of the MNF at the beginning of July 1988 along with other representatives of the “Minority”.
In May-June 1988 - one of the founders of the Moscow Public Information Exchange Bureau (M-BIO) - together with Vyacheslav Igrunov, Vladimir Pribylovsky, Sergei Mitrokhin). He was a member of the editorial group (formally) and a sponsor (in fact) of the Chronograph newspaper in its early stages.
In the summer of 1988 - one of the founders and leaders of the Perspective cooperative (together with Alexander Berkovich, Viktor Aksyuchits, Vyacheslav Igrunov, Vladimir Korsetov, etc.), which became the de facto sponsor of the informal movement in Moscow.
On G. Pelman’s personal semi-portable computer (donated to him by Western European Trotskyists) in 1988-1989. Almost half of the samizdat periodicals of Moscow informals were collected (in particular, the newspapers "Molva" and "Chronograph", some issues of "Community" and "Civic Dignity").
After 1991, he retired from politics.
Since 1992 - General Director of JSC Business of Russia Infobank.
In the fall of 1997, he was one of the organizers (along with G. Pavlovsky and Viktor Zolotarev) of the “nostalgic conference” (aka “congress of the vanquished”) dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the informal movement.
