After defending his dissertation in 1931, he became a teacher at the Military-Political Academy, and in 1933, he became the head of the department. In 1936 he was dismissed and transferred to the reserve. He worked as the director of school No. 22 in the Vasileostrovsky district. Arrested in September 1937, released in April 1940. During the war, he was appointed regimental commissar in the Baltic Fleet. Died in Tallinn at the end of August 1941.
