Genus. in 1890 in Reval (Tallinn) in a working-class family. In 1894, the parents moved to St. Petersburg. He studied at the city primary school, then at the deep navigation school in St. Petersburg. He graduated from college in 1909 and served in the Far East on ships of the Voluntary Fleet. The family lived in Vladivostok. Since 1921, captain on various ships. Since 1935 captain of the steamship "Itelmen". During the flight Vladivostok - Petropavlovsk - Vladivostok he was arrested in Petropavlovsk on November 27, 1937. Until 1940 he was in the Petropavlovsk prison, accused of belonging to a “counter-revolutionary organization of the Pacific basin.” Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on November 20, 1939 to 5 years in the camps. At the end of 1940 he was transferred to the camps of Siberia and worked in logging. Died in the camp on June 21, 1942 from hard work and exhaustion. Rehabilitated by the Military Tribunal of the Far Eastern Military District on July 22, 1957.
