Genus. in 1925 in the village of Duplevo, Tver province. In the winter of 1941-1942 in Leningrad, then evacuated to the Urals; in 1942-1945 at the front. He ended the war in Berlin as commander of an intelligence section in a tank division. He was wounded several times and shell-shocked. He was awarded two Orders of Glory, two Orders of the Red Star, and many medals. In 1946 he lived in Moscow, worked in the fire department; began to be published in the departmental circulation "Combat Signal". During the discussion in the editorial office of the Resolution of the Organizing Bureau of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks “On the magazines “Zvezda” and “Leningrad””, he spoke in defense of M.M. Zoshchenko and A.A. Akhmatova, after which he went into hiding in 1946-1947 due to the threat of arrest, then he came to Leningrad and got a job; arrested in June 1947; sentenced under Art. 58-10 to 5 years in the labor camp, deprived of military awards. Released in 1950, returned to Leningrad, in 1953 he moved to Yoshkar-Ola, worked on the radio. Died in Leningrad on March 30, 1993; buried in St. Petersburg at the Volkovsky cemetery.
