On the night of May 11, 1944, he was arrested by the UNGB department in the Odessa region. Charged under Art. 54-1a of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR (treason to the motherland, the so-called "Pulkovo case"). 08/07/1944 transferred to the investigation unit of the NKGB of the Ukrainian SSR in Kyiv. He was in prison No. 1 of the UNKVD of the Kyiv region. He died in the prison hospital on 11/05/1944. Rehabilitated 07/27/1993.
