Genus. in 1883 in the Kursk region, Timsky district, village. Sazonovka, in the family of a doctor, Russian; b/p. Since 1912 served at the Main Geophysical Observatory, St. Petersburg. Since 1927 to 09/10/1930 - Director of the Main Geophysical Observatory. Arrested around 1936, exiled to Kursk. He taught at the Kursk Medical Institute, professor of physics. Lived in Kursk, Pochtovaya st., 7, apt. 20. Arrested in February 1937. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR, visiting session in Leningrad on May 25, 1937 under Art. 58-7-8-11 Criminal Code of the RSFSR to VMN. Shot on May 26, 1937
