Born in 1912 in Slutsk, Minsk Region. Lieutenant Colonel of the Soviet Army, Chief of the District Officers' Club of the South Ural Military District. Arrested on 01.04.1950 in Moscow by the SMERSH counterintelligence agencies, held in Lefortovo for a year. Sentenced by the Special Conference of the USSR MGB under Articles 58-10 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in a correctional labor camp. Transferred to Peschanlag of the USSR KGB in Dzhezkazgan, to the copper mines. Sent to Moscow in February 1953, Article 58-11 was lifted with the retention of his prison term. Sent to Vorkuta, conditionally released early without the right to reside in Leningrad and other large cities by decision of the permanent session of the Supreme Court of the Komi ASSR dated 23.08.1955. He was rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in September 1956. He was reinstated in the army, where he served until 1960.
