Genus. in 1897 village Aresi Sommergusen parish. Wesenberg district, Estland province; Estonian; lower education; member of the CPSU (b) in 1919–1936. In Russia since 1917, he served in the Red Guard. Subsequently Komsomol and party. activist, production organizer. Lived in Leningrad (Petropavlovskaya st., 8, apt. 54). Worked at the beginning. assembly shop No. 10 of the Optical-Mechanical Plant named after. OGPU (GOMZ). Arrested on August 22, 1936, accused of participation in “the Trotskyist-Zinoviev organization that committed […] the murder of S.M. Kirov". Sentenced on December 25, 1936 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR under Art. 17-58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison with disqualification for 5 years and confiscation of property. In custody in Solovetsky prison. By the resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10.10.1937, he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 4, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on 04/06/1957 by the ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR
