Afanasiev Dmitry Nikiforovich
Genus. in 1891 in the city of Borovichi, Novgorod province; Russian; higher education; b/p; veterinarian. He lived with his wife and daughter in Leningrad, st. Kuibysheva, l.12, apt.29. He was seriously wounded in the Finnish war, so he was not mobilized in 1941. In 1942, the family was evacuated from Leningrad to the village. A victim of the Borovichi district, where his wife died of hunger. Arrested 03/28/1949. The house and things were confiscated, the daughter was thrown out onto the street, not even allowed to spend the night. Convicted on June 17, 1949 by the Novgorod Regional Court under Article 58-2 to 25 years in labor camp. Sent to the village. Tukhun Borovichi district for peat mining. Released by resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the USSR No. 1108-62 of 01/06/1954, which overturned the sentence “for lack of corpus delicti.” Returned to Leningrad. He was ill for a long time and died in 1963. He was rehabilitated on December 26, 1962 by a decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
