Definition: Soviet psychologist and teacher. Organizer and first rector of the East Siberian University (1918-1920) in Irkutsk, professor of the Central Institute of Correspondence Studies of the Supreme Economic Council of the USSR

Genus. in 1880 in Verkhne-Udinsk, higher education - graduated from the philosophical department of the University of Freiburg (Germany, 1905). Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences. In 1923-1951. taught at universities in Moscow. At Moscow University he lectured on psychology and philosophy. 02/20/1931 was arrested and prosecuted for “participation in a counter-revolutionary sabotage group.” Resolution of the OS at the OGPU Collegium dated June 28, 1931. convicted under Art. 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR and deported to Kazakhstan for 3 years. 07/02/1933 was released from the special settlement. Rehabilitated on March 30, 1989.
