In 1902 he graduated from the Shuya Theological School, in 1908 - the Vladimir Theological Seminary, in 1912 - the Moscow Theological Academy. Since 1921 - Bishop of Kovrov, vicar of the Vladimir diocese. Arrested in March 1922, sentenced to one year in prison, released under an amnesty. He opposed the renovation movement. During 1922 he was arrested several times. Sentenced to two years of exile in the Zyryansky region, was in exile in the city of Ust-Sysolsk and the village. Kerchomya. Released from exile in 1925. Arrested on January 2, 1927, sent to Moscow (he was in the OGPU prison in Lubyanka and in Butyrka prison). Sentenced to 3 years as a prisoner for “belonging to a group of bishops headed by Metropolitan Sergius of Stragorodsky.” He served time in the Solovetsky camp. In 1930 he was exiled to the Turukhansk region for three years. In 1933 he returned to the Vladimir region. 04/18/1936 arrested on charges of “connection with the Vatican” and “with the White Guards in Ukraine.” Sentenced to 5 years as a l/s in the White Sea-Baltic camps. At the beginning of the Second World War he was transferred to the Onega camps. Released in 1942, deported to the Omsk region. 11/07/1943 arrested in exile. In 1944 he was sentenced to 8 years as a l/s. He was kept in the Siberian and Temnikov camps, Dubravlaga. Since 1947 - on disability due to age. After liberation from the camp, in 1954–1955. was kept in the Zubovo-Polyansky home for the disabled. Died on October 28, 1962 in the town of Petushki, Vladimir region.
