Member of the CPSU(b) since 1917. During the Civil War he commanded a division. Head of the Higher Courses of Marxism-Leninism under the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks. The arrest was connected with his protest against Malenkov’s transfer to Moscow. In the early 1940s, he was imprisoned in Kolyma, at the Zolotisty mine. He died in the fall of 1942.
