Baevsky Ilya Leonidovich

Genus. in 1894 in Saratov; Jew; higher education; member of the CPSU(b). In 1919–1921 in the Red Army, then in various Soviet organizations. In 1929–1930 in Mongolia. In 1931–1933 Member of the Presidium of the State Planning Committee of the RSFSR. In 1933–1934 Deputy Head of the Expedition O.Yu. Schmidt on the Chelyuskin campaign. Before his arrest, he worked in the Arkhangelsk territorial department of the Main Northern Sea Route, acting as chief. Lived in Moscow, Kozitsky per., 1a, apt. 33 . Arrested 08/07/1937, accused   in participation in the k.-r. terrorist organization . Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on January 11, 1938. Shot on the same day. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the USSR Armed Forces on September 09, 1956.
