Sobol Vladimir Stanislavovich
Born in 1903 in St. Petersburg; Russian (according to other sources, Polish); member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1920-1927 and 1930-1935. Worked as an economist and statistician at the Krasny Vodnik factory in Leningrad. Sentenced by the Special Conference of the OGPU on 27.12.1928 and the Special Conference of the OGPU Collegium on 04.11.1929 to 3 years of exile in the village of Kolpashevo in the Tomsk region. Returned to Leningrad. After being reinstated in the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), he was sent to work on the construction of Magnitka. Worked as director of the health institute in Magnitogorsk. Arrested on 11.01.1935. Sentenced 26.03.1935 By a special meeting of the OGPU to 5 years in a correctional labor camp. Imprisoned in Ukhtpechlag. Arrested on 30.11.1937. Sentenced on 20.02.1938 at a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Leningrad to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on 20.02.1938. Rehabilitated by the decree of the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court dated 01.02.1989 in the case of 1928, by the Prosecutor's Office of the Chelyabinsk Region on 27.02.1989 in the case of 1935 and by the Military Commission of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 19.04.1990 in the case of 1937.
