Arrested on April 26, 1937 by the NKVD of the city of Leninakan, Armenian SSR, on charges of anti-Soviet agitation. Died in the hospital of the pre-trial detention center on March 15, 1938. from pulmonary tuberculosis. Rehabilitated by the ruling of the judicial panel for criminal cases of the Supreme Court of the Armenian SSR dated July 30, 1957.
