During the reaction that followed the defeat of the revolution, in 1910, he moved away from the revolutionary movement. In 1915 he returned to Bulgaria and served in the Bulgarian army (Bulgaria at that time was at war with Russia). In 1917 he came to Russia. He worked for the department of the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs. In 1920-1925 - trade representative in Berlin. In the fall of 1922, I found out that the former directors of Siemens’ Russian factories had concluded an agreement with the former owners and directors of nationalized enterprises on joint actions against the Soviet government. In 1926-1934. - Member of the board of the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs of the USSR. On 02/05/1932 he signed a non-aggression pact between Latvia and the USSR, and on 12/04/1933 - a Soviet-Latvian trade agreement. Since 1934 - Deputy People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the USSR, in charge of Far Eastern affairs. Arrested 12/17/1938. Included in the Yezhov execution list dated 09/06/1940. The VKVS of the USSR was found guilty of creating a counter-revolutionary Trotskyist organization, espionage for Germany, Great Britain and Poland and sentenced to death. Executed 10/16/1940. In 1988 he was rehabilitated.
