Pole. He was serving a sentence for speculating with vodka. I asked to go to the front from the moment the war began. With the approach of the front, he was transferred to the Leningrad transit prison, and from there he was sent to the Nevskaya Dubrovka area. On September 3, 1941, the train came under German bombardment. Balser survived and reached Leningrad for more than a day. He voluntarily appeared at the prosecutor's office of the Vasileostrovsky district and again asked to consider his request to be sent to the front. The request was denied. When transported to Tomsk, he survived on the “barge of death.” Died on December 16, 1941 in the Tomsk prison hospital from hemocolitis and exhaustion.*
