A writer, cabinetmaker, wood and bone carver, and dissident. The younger brother of A.T. Tvardovsky.

Born in 1914. Lived in the Glinkovsky district. Exiled with his parents to Krasnoyarsk Krai during the dispossession of kulaks in 1931. Rehabilitated on January 30, 1996.
