Titov Petr Semenovich (Archbishop Procopius)

Since 1914 - Bishop of Elisavetgrad, vicar of the Kherson diocese. In 1917-1918 - Governor of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. Since 1918, he was repeatedly arrested, imprisoned, and exiled. Since 1919 - Bishop of Nikolaev, vicar of the Odessa diocese; since 1921 - Bishop of Odessa and Kherson. In 1925 he was elevated to the rank of archbishop. Since 1927 he has been referred to as the Archbishop of Kherson and Nikolaev. 03/17/1935 At a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR, he was sentenced to 5 years of exile in Karakalpakstan. Lived in Turtkul, Chimbayskaya street, 40. Arrested on 08/24/37. Sentenced by the Troika UNKVD of the Uzbek SSR on October 28, 1937 to VMN for “systematic counter-revolutionary monarchist agitation and belonging to the TOC.” Shot on November 23, 1937. He was buried in the city of Turtkul.
