Topuzis Ivan Georgievich
Genus. in 1897 in the village. Ivanovo Beloklyuchinsky District, Georgian SSR; Greek; higher education - graduated from the Teachers' Institute in Tiflis and the Institute of National Economy in Moscow. Worked as an economist-supplyer for the Leningrad Regional Communications Department. Lived in Leningrad, Gaza Ave., Bldg. 42, Apt. 29. Arrested on January 31, 1938. Sentenced on June 19, 1938 by the Special Security Directorate of the NKVD of the USSR under Articles 58-6, 58-9, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 8 years in a correctional labor camp. He died in custody in Usollag on February 18, 1942. Rehabilitated by the Leningrad City Court on June 21, 1957.
On October 30, 2016, a personal memorial sign was installed at building No. 42 on Staro-Petergofsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg in memory of I.G. Topuzich as part of the Last Address project.
