Genus. in 1875 in the village. Rukino, Kirillovsky district, Novgorod province. (currently - Kirillovsky district, Vologda region). In 1895 he graduated from the Novgorod Theological Seminary. Since 1909 - Bishop of Balakhninsky, vicar of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese; from 1914 - Bishop of Narva, third vicar of the St. Petersburg diocese; from 1919 - Bishop of Pskov and Porkhov. Arrested 08/08/1922. Sentenced by the OGPU authorities on 02/23/1923 under Article 73 to 2 years of exile to Turkestan. He died on 05/18/1923 in the Pskov Convent. Rehabilitated 12/03/1998.
