Born in 1919 in the village of Shnyriv, Galicia, Austria-Hungary. From the mid-1930s, he participated in the activities of the organization of Ukrainian nationalists. After the annexation of Western Ukraine to the USSR, in 1940 he was mobilized into the Red Army. He participated in the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in 1941 he was captured, released, and returned home. In 1942-1944 he studied at the medical faculty of Lviv University. In 1942-1943 he was one of the organizers and leaders of the youth department of the OUN, edited the underground publication "Youth". In 1944-1946 he headed the political department of the Regional Military Headquarters of the UPA-West, in 1946-1949 - head of the political and educational department of the Main Military Staff of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. In 1946-1951 - head of the information bureau of the Ukrainian Main Liberation Council (member of the Ukrainian Main Liberation Council since 1950). In 1950-1951 - deputy chairman of the General Secretariat of the UGOS (underground government) in Ukraine. Participated in battles against Soviet NKVD units in Galicia. Died during one of the battles in the winter of 1951.
