Born in 1919 in the village. Shnyrev, Galicia, Austria-Hungary (now Brody district, Lviv region of Ukraine). Since the mid-1930s. participated in the activities of the organization of Ukrainian nationalists. In 1938 he graduated from Brody Gymnasium. After the annexation of Western Ukraine to the USSR, in 1940 he was mobilized into the Red Army. He took part in the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in 1941, he was captured by the Germans, but was soon released thanks to his good knowledge of the German language. Came back home. In 1942-1944 he studied at the medical faculty of Lviv University.In 1942-1943. - one of the organizers and leaders of the youth branch of the OUN, edited the underground publication “Youth” (1942-1943). In 1944-1946. headed the political department of the Regional Military Headquarters of the UPA-West, in 1946-1949. - Head of the political and educational department of the Main Military Headquarters of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. In 1946-1951. - head of the information bureau of the Ukrainian Main Liberation Council (member of the Ukrainian Main Liberation Council (council) since 1950). In 1950-1951 - Deputy Chairman of the General Secretariat of the UGOS (underground government) in Ukraine.
In 1948-1951 was a member of the Wire of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. With the rank of UPA major, he took part in battles against Soviet NKVD detachments in Galicia. Died during one of the battles in the winter of 1951. Author of journalistic articles in the underground press.
