Born on May 9, 1945 in Yerevan. In addition to six years of childhood spent in the small Volga town of Uglich, all his life before repatriation to Israel (1996) he lived in St. Petersburg and Tsarskoye Selo. Historian by education. He worked as a mechanic, laboratory assistant, watchman, boiler room operator. Published in the USSR ("samizdat" before perestroika), the USA, England, France, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Israel. Author of five books: "One Day Guest" (poetry, Jerusalem, 2001), "Aura of Fact" (prose, Jerusalem, 2002), "Indefinite Article" (prose, Jerusalem, 2002), "Up the Stairs Leading to the Windowsill" (prose, Jerusalem - Moscow, 2006), "Autumn Motifs of the Capital and Provinces" (poetry, Jerusalem, 2007), as well as about two hundred journalistic articles in Israeli and US periodicals.
