Khromenkov Viktor Sazonovich
Genus. 06/10/1939 in the village of Yarygi, Dribinsky district, Mogilev region, BSSR; Belarusian; b/p. Graduated from Leningrad State University, majoring in geology. Before his arrest, he worked as an engineer at the North-Western Correspondence Polytechnic Institute (Leningrad). Arrested on 03/05/1986 during a demonstration in defense of Academician A.D. Sakharov (made an inscription on the wall of the Trubetskoy bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress: “Freedom to Sakharov!”). Sentenced on April 6-12, 1986 by the Petrograd District Court of Leningrad under Art. 206 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR ("gross violation of public order", accompanied by "damage to a historical and cultural monument") to 4 years and 6 months in a high-security labor camp. The sentence was changed by a resolution of the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court dated April 22, 1986; Art. 206 part 2 reclassified to Art. 230, the term of imprisonment was changed to 1 year 2 months. Imprisoned in the US 20/9 facility in the Leningrad region. Released 05/05/1987. Member of the Memorial Society, participated in the work of the historical and archival commission. Died in St. Petersburg on December 4, 2012.
