Born in 1902 in Velizh, Vitebsk Province; Jewish; from the bourgeoisie; graduated from Leningrad University. Editor-in-chief of the morning Krasnaya Gazeta, Commissioner for Arts. Lived in Leningrad, Tchaikovsky St., Bldg. 10, Apt. 16. Arrested on 10/28/1937. Sentenced on 02/17/1938 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Leningrad under Art. 58-7-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on 02/17/1938.
