Served in the GDR, military unit 11562. 08/04/1966. was detained by border guards of the NNA of the GDR 300 meters from the state border line while trying to leave for West Berlin. Convicted on 10/19/1966. Military tribunal of the 98th artillery regiment of the 3rd Army under Art. 64, paragraph "a", of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison with a strict regime penitentiary for "attempted treason by fleeing abroad."
