Shabanov Alexander Afanasyevich

Genus. in 1900 in Dvinsk; Russian; former member of the CPSU (b) since 1919, expelled due to arrest. Graduated from Komvuz. In 1928 he worked as a head. department of the editorial office of the newspaper "Leningradskaya Pravda", in 1938 - secretary of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Soviet Writers. Arrested on 03/12/1938 UNKVD LO, accused under Art. 58-8-10 and 11 of the Criminal Code. Sentenced by the Supreme Commissariat of the Armed Forces of the USSR on 06/08/1941. Rehabilitated by the USSR Armed Forces Commissariat on September 19, 1956.
