Born in 1919 in the village of Chasha, Kurgan region. In the 1930s - journalist, in Komsomol work. Arrested on the night of 3-4.07.1937 on a denunciation in the editorial office of the regional newspaper "Stalin's Way". From Kurgan prison in August 1938 he was transferred to Chelyabinsk Central. In November 1938 he was sentenced under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in a labor camp. From 1938 to 1947 he was imprisoned in camps of the Arkhangelsk region. In 1946 - in a camp in Samara. From 1947-1957 - exile to Katun (Siberia). Rehabilitated in 1957. From 1992 - head of the regional organization of the People's Labor Union (NTS) and chairman of the regional human rights society "Memorial". Died in 2010.
