Born November 4, 1866 in the village of Seregovo, Yarensky District, Vologda Governorate (now Knyazhpogostsky District, Komi Republic); from peasants. From 1906 he was engaged in literary work, in 1912-1914 he published the magazine “Vestnik Severa” in Petrograd. Arrested December 31, 1929. Sentenced March 12, 1930 by the Troika of the PP OGPU of the Northern Territory under Article 58-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 3 years of exile. He died in 1930 while being transported to Arkhangelsk.
