Born in 1923 in Kyiv. In 1936, after her father's arrest, she and her mother were exiled to the Arkhangelsk region, then returned to Kyiv to live with relatives. In the summer of 1941, she was evacuated to Kazan, enrolled in the chemistry department of Kazan State University, and worked in a military hospital. After the liberation of Ukraine, she returned to Kyiv. She moved to Leningrad, where in the late 1940s she received a higher education diploma. She worked at the Leningrad Research Institute of physicist A.F. Ioffe. In 1993, she emigrated to Germany and lived in Cologne.
