Edel Ilmar Mikhailovich (Ilmari Mikhklevich)
Genus. in 1909 in Revel, Estonian, non-partisan, engineer of the 4th candy and chocolate factory "Red Confectioner", lived: Leningrad, V.O., 15th line, 48, apt. 6. Arrested on July 22, 1938. On October 25, 1938, a special troika of the UNKVD LO sentenced him under Art. 58-6 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to execution. The sentence has not been carried out. At a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on July 2, 1939, he was sentenced for “espionage” to 8 years in a labor camp with a transfer to Kolyma. (His brother Oleg Edel was simultaneously sentenced to 5 years in labor camp; cousin Elmar Moik died in the prison hospital on 12/05/1938; brother Udo Edel was sentenced in 1935 to 3 years and died in Ukhtpechlag on 07/11/1937; aunt Lydia (Alidia) Nikolaevna Ivanova -Ratmirova (Rotmirova) was sentenced to 8 years in labor camp, served her sentence in Sevvostlag).
By the determination of the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District dated 02/05/1958, the archival and investigative file against Edel I.M. terminated for lack of evidence of a crime.
