Entin Solomon Lvovich

Genus. in 1892 in Gomel; Jew; from the bourgeoisie; secondary education (graduated from Gomel gymnasium in 1910); member of the RSDLP(b) since 1910. In 1916 he was exiled to Siberia for party activities. In 1917 he lived in Kronstadt, was engaged in agitation and propaganda, and was engaged in newspaper work. During the Civil War he was a political worker. In 1921–1936, he held important positions in the Eastern Department of the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs, in China, in the department of external relations of the Petrograd RKI; in the Leninfin Department, headed the Department of Leninism at LIFLI; in 1936–1937 he served as a censor in Leningrad Gorlit; in 1937 - editor at the Leningrad Region publishing house VASKHNIL. From 01.11.1937 – in the Public Library, deputy director of the Plekhanov House as chief librarian; editor of Plekhanov's collections. Dismissed from the library on January 28, 1939 “for absenteeism.” Before his arrest, he was a teacher of Marxism-Leninism at the Leningrad Financial and Economic Institute. Arrested on January 10, 1940, charged under Art. 58-10, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR; sentenced by resolution of the OS NKVD of the USSR on September 10, 1940 to 8 years in prison. Imprisoned in the Tobolsk prison, from December 10, 1944 - in the Vladimir prison. Died in the prison hospital on October 16, 1947; buried at the Vladimir city cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court on March 30, 1957.
