Born 08.01.1916 in Essen (Germany), German. From 1933 lived with his parents and brother in Leningrad (Muchnoy per., 4/25, apt. 43). Student of the art technical school, then teacher of fine arts at the 26th junior high school of the Primorsky district. After the arrest of his father and brother, he was administratively deported no later than 02.02.1938 with his mother to Kazakhstan. Returned to Germany in 1990.
