Bergoltz Egon Lvovich
Second mate of the oil tanker "Azneft"
Genus. in 1892 in the city of Tursel in the former Estonian province; German; citizen of the USSR; secondary education. Former midshipman of the Tsarist Navy. He worked as a second mate to the captain of the Azneft oil tanker. Lived in Sevastopol, st. Lenina, 48, apt. 15. Arrested on January 27, 1931 by the Odessa operational sector of the GPU of the Ukrainian SSR on suspicion of involvement in a spy organization. In total, 14 people were involved in the case, specialists in shipbuilding and the marine fleet. Sentenced on 06/08/1931 by a decision of the judicial troika at the Collegium of the GPU of the Ukrainian SSR to 8 years in a concentration camp. On 10/11/1960 the case was closed for lack of evidence of a crime.
