Berzin Yuliy Solomonovich

Genus. in 1904 in Polotsk, Vitebsk province; Jew, higher legal education; b/p; writer. In 1938 he lived in Leningrad. Arrested on 02/10/1938 on charges that “since 1930 he was an active participant in the anti-Soviet right-wing Trotskyist organization among Leningrad writers” (Articles 58-8, 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR). On 07/02/1939 the OS under the NKVD of the USSR was sentenced to 8 years in a labor camp and sent to SVITL. In 1942 - a prisoner at the Commandant's Department of USVITL (Magadan), worked in the camp canteen. Sentenced to the VT of the NKVD troops at Dalstroi on May 16, 1942 under Art. 58-2, 10, part 2 to the VMN with confiscation of property. Shot on June 11, 1942. Burial place - Magadan. Rehabilitated in the case of 1938 in 1957, in the case of 1942 - by the Presidium of the Magadan Regional Court on December 12, 1990.
