Genus. in 1891 in St. Petersburg, Russian, military personnel, secondary education, guards officer. Lived in Leningrad (Ostrovsky Square, 9, apt. 32). He was repeatedly arrested for “counter-revolutionary activities.” In February 1924 he was deported to Siberia for 3 years, from where he escaped, acquired false documents, and lived illegally in Leningrad. Arrested on November 18, 1924 by the GPU LO, charged under Art. 61 and 95 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. By a resolution of the OS at the OGPU Collegium dated January 16, 1925, he was sentenced to 3 years in a concentration camp, and on March 2, 1925 he was transferred to the Solovetsky camp.
